Whatever you want me to do, wherever you want me to go, whatever you want me to say… I will

This message is on my heart strong to share right now. When the Lord is opening a door please walk through it. Often times in life we miss the opportunities that the Lord has offered to us. It is amazing what happens to a life that says “Whatever you want me to do, wherever you want me to go, whatever you want me to say… I will”. This is a prayer that I have said before and continue to say now.

I have shared parts of my story through past blogs, but I will continue to unfold the testimony that God has done in my life.

I grew up with my mom and older brother. My mom took me to church every so often and catechism some times when I was younger, but out of nowhere I had a desire to start going to a church that was outside of the city with people who lived in the apartment building where my mom and I lived.  We lived in this building for about five years when my mom decided we should move to a place called Crapaud (it is pronounced crap-o Lol). I didn’t have many friends where we were living so I thought it could be a good idea.

Now in a place called Crapaud you do not see any homeless people, you do not see people that are on the nod because of drugs, or sex trade workers on the corner. You can see tractors driving down the road, or a chicken running around because it got loose from the chicken plant where my mom worked. Deep down I really felt that I wanted to do something for God with my life. It wasn’t long that I made some friends and started going to a popular church in the area. I got baptized the following summer and stated to get involved with the church I was all over the place from children’s ministry, to a drama group, to singing on the worship team (I do not understand why I was allowed to continue on the worship team, I now know my voice is a voice that only God can love, but no one ever kicked me off the team or anything), I was also a part of prayer teams and then eventually took part in a mission trip to Jamaica. I knew that I wanted to serve the Lord, but I didn’t find my place yet.

It was not long after all this that I got involved with the ministry I am currently working. I was recently speaking to our staff at our weekly fellowship meeting, about how our shelter started. I informed our group that I never applied for my job, or was interviewed, or was given a job description, myself and a friend of mine just started the shelter. He was from a place that was more secluded than Crapaud, but God set us apart for a ministry that He was forming.  The reason I am sharing all this is how can a kid from Crapaud and another kid from Canso run a homeless shelter? Because of the prayers of our heart, the prayer I mentioned earlier.

“Whatever you want me to do, wherever you want me to go, whatever you want me to say… I will”.

God wants to speak to your heart, if you are reading this then that means that God is calling you to enter a door that He is opening. Do not wait until you are equipped, do you think that Moses, David, Paul, John were equipped before they went on their journey with God? They went through the door that the Lord opened, and allowed His Holy Spirit to lead them.

Don’t stop at the door that is open in front of you, but go through it and allow the Lord to direct your path.

If these words have touched you i pray that you click the link below and allow the Lord to bless you by the amazing song.
