So this young women is still in the hospital, and is reading books that our shelter staff brought to the hospital when she first arrived. This young women is someone who has often been problematic when she is at our shelter, but i hold out hope that God will continue to work in her life, and He is!

I do not always get to see the journey of a individual work out as much as i have with this young women. A lot of times people disappear and i never get to hear or see how they are doing. I had probably the worst experience in my history in the shelter with this young women, who FREAKED out at me one afternoon when i had to ask her to leave. She threw a drink at me, spit in my face, slapped my cheek, and hollered at the top of her lungs.

One of my staff informed me that they were speaking with her and she was sorry for what she did to me, but she never came to me to apologize. About a week ago she called our center and let me know how she is doing, and informed me that she is reading “The Shack” and is loving it. We spoke for a couple min, but not for long. She informed me of the plans she has when she gets out of the hospital.

She called back a few min later, and this is how it went, “Hi Danny I should probably do this in person, but maybe some day i can. I would like to talk to you, i really should tell you in person, but this will have to do for now, and maybe some day i will get to talk to you in person. I would like to apologize for how i treated you, i never should have acted that way, and you didn’t deserve it. I should have just left and come back and spoke with you another time.”

I really have no idea how i didn’t get emotional while on the phone with her, but i was so very blessed. I ask you all to please keep praying for her. God is really moving in her life, and please continue to pray with me that she will allow God to work in her life, and that she will take this time in the hospital to really get in a good head space.

Prayer works i promise you all.

Amen, and let’s pray she starts reading the bible instead of the heretical “Shack”.

    Jesus bless you
